Socialists holding national event in Ann Arbor

"The party's presidential candidate Brian Moore will conduct one of the workshops planned for the three-day event, which begins Friday, July 11.

Held every other year, an organizing conference differs from the political party's national convention, said Matt Erard, a Socialist candidate for state House of Representatives who's also one of the organizers for the event...

In addition to Moore, other speakers will include author and historian Eric Thomas Chester; international Social Party activist Courtney Campbell; Social Party women's commission chairwoman Susan Dorazio; and Dwain Reynolds, a Socialist Party candidate for State Board of Education."
